Sand Washing System
In 2020 MIMICO Engineering completed the installation of a Superior Industries 36” Aggredry fine material washer.
The Aggredry replaced the customer existing bucket wheel dewaterer. The Aggredry offers a unique combination of fine material washer (sand screw) and dewatering screen to produce an exceptional clean and mechanically dry washed manufactured sand.
Project Highlights:
- Superior Industries 36” Aggredry fine material washer.
- Simplified circuit. Installation of the Aggedry enabled the removal of a conveyor from the system.
- Conveyable product. The product from the Aggredry being mechanically dry allows for the conveying of product in any weather conditions.
- New support structure installed with walkways around cross conveyor, under Aggredry and above tub of Aggredry.
- Full water recirculating on site. Wash water is treated with a MIMICO LT-500 Lamella water clarifier and then reused to aggregate washing process.
