COVID-19 Announcement

March 24, 2020

Following the Government's announcement yesterday, we would like to provide you with an update on what to expect over the coming weeks.

Firstly, we'd like to reiterate how important it is for everyone to follow the Government’s lead during this period. You can visit Unite Against Covid-19 or www.covid19.govt.nz to learn the simple steps you can take to slow the spread.

At MIMICO, the health, safety and well-being of our staff, customers and partners remain at the forefront of what we do. Thus, and in accordance with the COVID-19 Alert Level Four restrictions, all MIMICO's branches will be closed from 5pm tomorrow (March 25, 2020).

Our parts and service team will remain operational at reduced capacity and ready to offer on-site breakdown support to those organisations providing the below essential services:

  • Primary industries and food production
  • Transport & Logistics
  • Building & Construction

To keep our team safe, we ask that all our customers follow these simple practices:

  • Avoid any physical contact, including hand shaking.
  • Maintain a two-metre distance from staff.
  • Regularly use hand sanitiser and thorough hand-washing practices.
  • Cough into your elbow.

Our parts facilities in Auckland, Matamata and Christchurch will remain operational, albeit at reduced capacity, and are available for urgent requests. All our carriers, both inbound and outbound, have been deemed as essential services so we don't expect any issues with freight at this stage. All other MIMICO staff who can work from home are now doing so.

We will continue to comply with all Government policies and procedures to ensure the safety of staff and customers. Please continue to visit our website or social media channels (shown t the bottom of this page) regularly for updated information. We will use email sparingly, so know that any email you receive from us over this period will contain important information. You can sign up to receive our emails HERE.

Please stay safe and take care of each other during the challenging time ahead.

General Manager, MIMICO
