Toto wins 2017 MIMICO Mentor Award

Shane Toto, Drury Quarry Manager, Stevenson Resources, was awarded the MIMICO Quarry Mentor Award at the Auckland Branch of the Institute of Quarrying NZ's 2017 Christmas Function, which was held on Friday December 1.

This award is given to an IOQ member who has taken someone under their wing and mentored them to the benefit of that person, their company and the industry. MIMICO would like to congratulate Shane on receiving this award and commend him on his career supporting the industry.

A big congratulations also to MIMICO's own John Quayle who was awarded the Viking Conveyor Shield at the same event. This award is to honour outstanding ongoing service to the branch and is the highest award available for the branch.

There are a lot of industry stalwarts who have their names on this shield so it is a great to see John’s name there too. Well done and well deserved John. John was completely blind sided as he was actually the MC on the night. This was an extremely well executed operation by the rest of the committee!
